I just loaded a few rounds of 45acp with Winchester brass, Winchester large pistol primers & 5.3gr of win231.
I used Hornady 230gr FMJ RN which I seated to an OAL of 1.260. Now I got the charge info from the Hornady loading Manual. Which showed that charge & 1.210 OAL. I checked the powder manufacturers website and it appears this is a max charge @ 1.200 OAL?
I guess my question is should I take these apart and scale it back some?
I'm going to be using a sig1911 with a 5" barrel. I'm very new to reloading and would like some feedback since there are several conflicting loading data sources.
Thanks in advance,
Craig.
