Im going to try one for sure.....dont know when tho, Ill need to be able to source brass first.
If I can get a Go Wild in 7PRC thats likely to be the path i go.....unless the Cascade comes in 7PRC
thats what im hoping. It will...give it couple months. The 7 PRC is too good not to jump on it.
I own the Go Wild in 6.5 PRC, it's a good shooter.
24 I believe. What was the barrel length on that American?
It’s definitely a new cartridge. Considered a 2023 release I believe. I reckon it’s at least as good as it’s other PRC siblingsI'll confess that I'd never heard of it before. Just a cursory spin on Google though it looks pretty good. I've never seen the ammo IRL.
Hmmmm…. I can’t say I agree… but that’s an interesting opinionI'll throw a slight twist in this discussion and say I wish the 6.5 PRC was a long action cartridge like the 7 PRC... I think they should have made the 6.5 with the case the 7 has. Now, don't get me wrong I love my 6.5 PRC, my Mossberg is a very accurate rifle especially the fact that it's a sub 500 dollar rifle. I told my boss that I had a nice Mossberg bolt action and he looked at me like I had two heads and acted like they were garbage. Anyway, sorry for de railing your thread, @JmacD...
Yeah I kinda like the easy to handle short case and the higher recoil of having a longer case would not be great for ease of shooting. Cause with a muzzle brake I can shoot my 6.5 PRC no prob but my un braked 270 Win from a bench will be uncomfortable after a bit. I should take the muzzle brake off and see just how much difference it makes.Hmmmm…. I can’t say I agree… but that’s an interesting opinion
That would be a 6.5 LRPRC! (Long Range Precision Rifle Cartridge).Im really only interested in a 7prc in a 3.2-3.4" action. Longer and id rather have more capacity, shorter and it wont fit.
Speaking of, id have liked to see the 6.5PRC with a slightly longer case as well, and may actually adopt whatever they end up calling the 6.5 version of the 7 when that gets necked down.
My other option is a long throat fast twist .264WM, my last one would drive 140s to 3250-3300fps which is fast enough to be worth the extra powder.

Creedmoor is 65 bucks a box at one shop here right now lol.....cant remember the loading but it wasnt even a "premium" option.Ammoseek has 7 PRC ammo starting at $89/ box of 20 before shipping.
Im sure it’s still too new and pretty uncommon right now so it will come down.
Trying to be a weatherby mag. LolAmmoseek has 7 PRC ammo starting at $89/ box of 20 before shipping.

Go Wild is a line of Ruger American rifles, they usually have a fancy camo paint job and that's the main difference I think.Ok, I'm gonna ask: What is "Go wild"? Don't know anything regarding PRC rounds. Pretty much a lever action sort.
Found some 7 PRC ammo at Atwoods here in Yukon OK! Not cheap lol.

Huh that's interesting. Seems like me and @JmacD are alternative universe versions of each other as we seem to have opposite stuff, he finds a 7 PRC rifle, and no ammo, and I find a bunch of ammo and no rifle lol.Better than most other vendors.
Bronze Cerakote as well but yes, the camo stock is the main feature. It’s a cosmetic only option.
