I would think that Sanchez ensured that Surefire got some government contracts and/or pork. Therefore Surefire repays the favor.

Whatever you do don't show how much Surefire donated to Republicans. The Democrats will be livid.

I guess that makes it okay then.

This board is confounding sometimes. We have members who think the administration’s gun control by executive order is nothing to worry about; an NRA that tacitly supports it, and now donations to politicians actively authoring a terminal path for 2A are acceptable out of expediency.

I’ve long thought this right could see its final erosion in my lifetime, but didn’t think it would go this way.

Sanchez was the lessor of evils in that district and at one time did try to help local business.

Having said that, that time was before those donations were made.

They'll be the same people who say they support law enforcement while simultaneously red flag laws are being carried out at citizens' homes, gun buybacks occur, police departments destroy guns, civil asset forfeiture still happens etc etc.

All the while fixated on gun control boogeymen, ghosts of past and future threats distracting from the fox that's presently feasting in the hen house.

As Donald Trump stated during his campaign when confronted about donating to both political parties: “I’m a business man.”

Donald Trump also said "I believe in taking the guns first and then worrying about due process". On camera in response to VP Pence explaining that's not how it works. He also believes in civil asset forfeiture and the War on Drugs leaving millions of Veterans to suffer in horrible pain. Trump does not support The Constitution. I don't think he's ever even read it. He's a business man.
