First foray into optics on a revolver

So I have come to terms with the fact that I am merely an average revolver shot, even on a good day.
I really love them and want to incorporate them into my hunting battery, so I have put an Ultradot 30 on my Blackhawk in .45 Colt.

Hopefully it will help. I'll post a range report when I take it out this weekend.

Assuming you have good trigger control, you will be amazed at what you will be able to do with that dot.

Are those ultra dots pretty tough? Can i put one on a toklat and expect it to hold up? I want one now.

Looks good anyway. I am looking at that setup for my beater SBH 44mag. Interested in how it works for you...

I figured if they hold up to what @MaxP puts them through, it will have no trouble with my loads.
My .45 Colt hunting load is barely into the "Ruger only" category.
I'm wanting to push a 300 grain XTP at about 1,000 - 1,100 fps. Pipsqueak loads compared to the big .475s and .500s.
