Rooster - you're welcome

R.A.R. sure offers a nice selection in bullet weight for the
.41 Mag. I've never looked at it before - I shooot .45 ACP
in my 1911 and the N frame 625 which also fires the hard to find
.45 Auto RIm. As well as .400 COrBon I've always liked the
S&W 57 just the big 4 - WInchester, Remington, Federal and Speer
seem to only offer 170 gr. JHP and sturdier 210 gr. bullet weights
R.A.R. offers some intersting .38 Special and 9mm LUger as well just
haven't gotten around to ordering some of it.

Enjoy your 57

SOme time in the furutre you might consider getting either a
S&W Model 17 K-22 Target Masterpiece - although I think they
only came blued and nickel isn't an option - or a 617 6" Bbl.
with the satin (polished ) Stainless steel to go with
your 57. & get the .22 you choose simmilar grips like the 57
to pair them up.

I have a 617 6" Bbl. and it always goes along to the range
FUN gun, and a good warm up with .22 LR. Did I mention cheap?
Well for ammo anyway.

If you want to get into reloading on the cheap, look into the Lee Hand Press. It looks like a big nut cracker or maybe a crab cracker thingy. My wife got me the whole set up one year for like 90 bucks. The whole set up can be stored in 1 or 2 shoe boxes and is perfect for low volume reloading in tight spaces on a budget.

Welcome to THR and that is one beautiful revolver you got there.

He hardly gets out to shoot anymore, so I'm sure he doesn't. His lone other .41 mag probably hasn't been fired in years. When he does get out to the range, he tends to favor rifles and his 3 Gold Cup NMs.

Now thy I know how well received nice gun photos are here, Ill try to do a shoot of his better guns next time I visit home.
