So took the new Trr8 out for shakedown run. Every round went bang, no suprizes, had a ball. Gun will do its part if you do yours. Had to make a click or two on the sights but that’s expected. All rounds are LAX 38 special FMJ ( don’t remember if new or reman) full size target was 7 yards DA and white targets 10 yards DA. Quite pleased with the gun. Wait for Kramer leather continues. This gun is SPICY with hornady American gunner 158 magnums! Iirc they’re 1500fps! Only shot three of those as I need to conserve them. I’d feel quite confident in carrying HOT 38 specials in this one

Congrats on your TRR8. :)

I wanted one of those for a while, but decided the prices were just too high. That and the Perf. Ctr. ticked me off pretty good a couple of years ago, but that’s not important right now.

I have a 327 Night Guard and those 158 grain American Gunner .357 loads are a blast in my gun. They’re crowd pleasers with all that boom and flash. My gun likes ‘em. Very accurate.

Man I'm still wanting a 357 or a 44mag but I really don't need another caliber to reload... I do have a Pietta SAA in 45 Colt that I load basic 250gr lead bullets over Titegroup for...

MCB… these moonies don’t go in quick for me. It’s going to take a LOT of practice!! I don’t want to chase brass/clip combos to make it work.. I’m lazy lol

Understood, but if you change you mind, Revolver supply .025 thick moonclips for the TRR8/327/627 and Remington Brass are a great easy combination. Get some Remington 38 Short Colt or Remington 38 Special brass and load up your favorite 158-160gr round nose bullet and have at it. You only need ~800 fps with that bullet weight to make power factor. IMHO its one of the most fun things I have ever done with any of my handguns, and especially my revolvers.

It looks like the 9 clips I have are .025 TK customs. I’ve got pounds of once fired brass. The reloading needs to start but I have never done it

I'm with Dave DeLaurant ^^^. Been shooting a Mod 25 Smith since the early 80s. Six .45acp rounds is fine for me. I have shot 7-rounders with .38spl moons and it wasn't
(for me) as slick to reload as the .45acp six round moons. Plus the .45acp fits in my 1911.

I agree there is nothing faster to reload than good 45 ACP on moonclips. Those heavy, short, fat, rounds with nice round nose bullet just seem to jump into cylinders. But at least in the competitive world of USPSA the 8-shots more than make up for the slight reload speed advantage of the 45 ACP revolvers.

I've always wanted one of those M327 revolvers but just can't wrap my head around the price.
I would really like their snub nose M327 for a carry gun but again, the price is prohibitive.

Agree with you mcb --- competition days are long over, (12 yrs of IPSC revolver) so just for fun now. If I was competing, I would surely have an 8 shooter with moons.
