Again, don't use -- or even consider -- Bore Butter as a barrel preservative... unless you think olive oil is a good metal protector. ;)

FWIW, Bore Butter swabbed into a bore also deposits goo into the flash channel/vent opening in the breech. And that doesn't swab out.
If you simply must use BB (and I recommend against it), spray brake cleaner in/through the vent and swab it out the bore beforehand.



ps: While "CLP" is a product/brand name, I use it to cover a multitude of products that serve the same functions: Clean/Lubricate and Preserve. Mobil-1 is one, RemOil another, WeaponShield a 3rd, BreakFree a 4th.... (you get the picture). Olive Oyl don't remotely fall in that category.
