Picked up my first revolver the other day. A Taurus Model 65 with a nickel finish. Beautiful finish, locks up tight, looks like it was just made. Checked out the serial number on the Taurus website and looks like it was made in '89. The only thing I have been able to find that might be wrong is that the transfer bar rattles a little. Since this is my first revo, is this normal? Is it anything I should get fixed right away? Anybody have one, or have experience with one?
I did put 1 cylinder thru it before I bought it, and I'm taking it to the range tonight for some serious play.
Thanks in advance for any and all input and comments.

Peace out,
Calhoun

First off is it nickel or stainless steel? I know they came blued and stainless, but I didn't know if they ever nickeled one.
As to the rattle, they all do that to some degree if you shake the revolver. The transfer bar floats in the frame so it can rise with the trigger stroke and be pushed forward by the hammer to contact the firing pin.

It's nickel. They make them now in stainless and blue, but they used to make them in nickel also. I don't know when they stopped. Thay actually did a great job with the finish. I'll post a picture later so you can see.
Thanks for the reply.
