I have searched for information about fit, and everything, and I am still confused.

When I mount the gun with my eyes closed, as described in various threads, only half of the butt is on my shoulder, the rest is above it. The length is fine. Do I need to drop or raise the comb? Or is this unrelated?

Thanks.

You can raise the comb, but that is going to raise POI drastically. IF your shotgun hits where you are looking with half the butt above your shoulder you need more drop. The easiest way to get it is with a Morgan adjustable recoil pad.

If you want a gun to fit you the proper way is to get a custom stock. The measurements for the stock are gotten from the use of a' try gun'. This is a shotgun that has all the stock dimensions adjustable. A traine d person will adjust the dimensions as you shoot it until it points and fits perfectly. Your stock is then made to those dimensions.

Do you have a long neck? Where does the stock touch your face?

With a standard stock, my "Cheek Weld" is a "Jaw Weld". It takes a Monte Carlo comb to get the thing touching my cheek.

Mount and put ALL the butt in contact with your shoulder area. Where's the barrel pointing?
