Good Day to Y'all,
I was purusing a local military surplus store yesterday and the proprietor tried to sell me what appeared to be a larger version of the Timberline Aviator.

Anyway, the blade was black coated, about 5"-6"s long, chisel ground and had a tanto point just like in the link above. Handle material and design looks identical to that given in the link above. The words, Timberline, Emerson designed and Specwar were printed in gold or yellow on the blade. The store price was $368 and the owner said that it was a discontinued piece.
So here's what I want to ask....
1) Any experiences with this knife? Is it a good survival/combat knife?
2) What is the blade steel? It's not printed on the blade.
3) Am I being overcharged?
4) Is it true that this knife was once issued to Navy Seals/special forces?
