So, I recently inherited a Remington 511 Scoremaster from my father.
The rifling in the bore is still intact, and seems to be in perfect condition after the patches I ran through the bore stopped coming out green. However, the bolt sticks during the up/down portion of the bolt's travel, like it takes some extra force to get the bolt to engage and travel downward. Furthermore, I did experience a slam-fire at the range when I pushed the bolt forward too aggressively. Finally, I don't know how to describe the outward condition of the barrel - it doesn't appear rusted or corroded, necessarily, but the finish looks uneven.
How would one go about diagnosing and fixing these sorts of problems? Thanks in advance.
