Got these all tuned back up yesterday. Me'sa happy now cause I can get back to whittlin on stocks just as soon as I get the new CNC mill in the shop and wired for sound.

It's a very good day!

Those are about the nicest jigs I've ever seen for stocks. Production work at it's finest. You have a small fortune in materials and time.

What is the quick connect for under the BP vise? How do you establish the starting point on different stocks for the tool and maintain it when you flip the stock over?

Outstanding all around.

Ummmmm. Are you accepting work ? That is just the kind of jig that I do not want to have to build. (or have built) I need the barrel channel opened up on my 03a3 to accept the 1 1/4" MANN Accy Device barrel.

Thanks guys.

FWIW I don't do "production" work. These fixtures are for made to order guns. I do all my own inletting (100% of it) using CAD/CAM software and CNC milling centers.

No cookie cutter guns here!

Thanks again for the kind words.

As for the quick disconnect fitting it's for an air table. The back half of the fixture is set up so that when orientating the stock's centerline parallel to the axis on the mill I can do so without having to wrestle a 75lb vice and fixture plate. Air is controlled via a foot pedal and it floats allowing for effort free movement. Works pretty cool.

Here's some sample photos of work in process and finished jobs.

Bedding free pillar inlet. This was an "experiment" on a personal rifle of mine. The stock has an exceptionally high resin content so I built it without bedding just to see how it'd work. It's the hardest holding rifle in my personal stash. .098" center to center five shot group at 100 yards with factory Black Hills ammunition. 22-250 Remington is the chambering. It's a Nesika Model F with a Lilja 1-12 twist barrel:

Bottom metal inletting. NO BEDDING, 100% machined 1:1 fit.

Yeah, I should have not used the term "production". More than one to me is production! I only do my own stuff and occasionally help out a friend.

The only other work I've seen as nice as yours is Warner, Geigas (sp) and the USAMU.

I figured the connector was for air, that beast is heavy. Someday maybe I'll come across a D675 for a song at an auction.

Alan Warner is a friend of mine. I know who John is and I once started to interview with the AMU. I still know a few folks down there at Benning.

Thanks for the interest.

Chad
