at the second stop today i found a remington 700 CDL in 7mm mag and a older browning 12ga citori(invicta choke tubes). the remington is in very good condition with ex bore, the citori has seen alot of use and shows it, but is tight and has ex bores. the price for both was in line with their condition and was very good.

Finding a Citori out in the world like that would leave me no choice but to buy it as well.

Battle scars are a welcome characteristic for the circumstances.

Looks like a fairly recent production 700 CDL. I always thought that was a huge improvement over the BDL.

Great finds, Eastbank!
It is a big help to carry sufficient cash in your pocket just for these kinds of items.
Looking at the photos, the Citori looks like it has seen a few upland game fields but does not appear abused. The Rem 700 looks to be in fine shape, too. Nice pieces, IMHO!

Is it an older 700 with the receiver drilled/tapped for aperture sights?

no, just for a scope and for open sights, i have cdl 700 in 35 whelen that has no open sight, only d&t for a scope.
