I am going to buy a set of flip open caps for my VX1 4-12x40 this week. I have used the Butler Creek caps for years and I do like them. I have been considering the Leupold ones lately but at 3x the cost I am wondering if they are worth it. I can see that being made of metal instead of plastic they may last longer and I do like that the lay flat against to top of the scope when open (I tend to hit the rear Butler Creek cap with my hat when shooting).
What do you guys think, any good comparisons?
