So it looks like I am going to get a FNX 45 Tactical. My simple question is, which color is the preferred color? I like both the black and the FDE finishes. My problem comes when I consider that my 45 acp suppressor is black.

So would a black suppressor go well with a FDE gun, or should the entire setup match? I am really neutral on this matter. Just curious to the popular opinion.

Black is better. If you ever drop the FDE version in the dirt you'll never find it.

When I had an FNP 45, I had one with the stainless slide and the black frame. I have always liked that combo, and I still buy guns like that.

I also wear a lot of black, so combining a black frame with a black holster caused it to blend into my body quite well. Even open carrying, from 40 or 50 feet away, you may not have realized I was armed.

I have a FDX-45 in black, wouldn't have any other color- I really don't expect to ever be fighting with it in a desert;)

BTW I really like the FDX-45!

I bought one in FDE and really like it. There was no real reason behind it other than I thought it looked good. Almost all of my other handguns are black, so maybe I just wanted something different. The suppressor I use with it is black and the RMR that I just got for Christmas to use on it is black too. Maybe I'll be able to convince my wife to buy a black FNX now too so that everything matches. I haven't taken a new photo with the RMR yet. I will say that it does show dirt (powder residue) at the range a lot more than my black guns.

What color shoes do you wear?

I'm old fashioned, nlack cars and black guns. Been tempted, but stainless is the only other color for my, or 2 tone.
Diamonback AR's I would make an exception for, as the Tan and the Green are awesome.
