Over the last few years, I have inherited some guns from my deceased Dad and Stepdad,neither of which I was very close to for one reason or another. They had guns but didn't like to talk about them. Bought a 23rd Edition Blue Book of Gun Values which hasn't helped much. I did check the 'Store Brand Cross over list, too.
I am primarily interested in Date Mfr , in some cases original MFr & Mod, I know prices would vary based on condition.
Of the several , I am trying to get info on are two Lever guns.
Winchester Model 88-CAL-.308 WIN S/N ? Can't find one.
Winchester Ranger 30-30 WIN S/N 53617XX
Non Lever guns
J.C. HIGGINS Model 50 30-06 Action made in Belgium Didn't see any S/n
Note: This one has some frustratingly ill memories. My first deer tagged , with my deer tag, was shot with this one in 1953/54?. My Stepdad was impatient with my shooting delay and having just killed his, shot mine , too. I didn't even get a chance . Stepdad was using the 30-06, I had an old, old 30-30. My FIRST HUNT! I wasn't too happy about his actions.
Sears Mod 35 22 Pump S/N583335XX (I fouind a 35A Orignal Stevens Orign Mod 66A, but no Mod 35)
Westernfield SB808A 22LR -22HS Shorts. Came close, but NO 808A
