Forgive me my S&W Brothers, for I might sin!

The lock isn’t an issue for me, so I’m allowed to buy new S&W revolvers.

Otherwise, if I were to go outside of the ‘big three,’ it would be a Rossi.

I have 8 S&Ws, 3 Rugers and 1 Colt. I used to have more Rugers and S&Ws but decided to give some away to family and I sold some.

I think that what you want to buy is your own business. Usually people that have a problem with my or anyone else’s purchase get quiet pretty quick when the response back to them is “Okay, then you buy me what you think I should have.”

I have yet to receive a free gun from anyone on a forum.

I'm a fan of S&W revolvers but getting a k-frame 32 SWL revolver is like finding hen's teeth. I recently bought a Manurhin MR 32 32 SWL to scratch the 32 SWL itch.

So am I to fuss about buying non-S&W revolvers.

Taurus has a reasonable reputation for the most part for most of their guns, so if fits your needs why not.

P.S. I'm impressed with the Manurhin revolver. It was expensive but it shoots great.

Why not? I've done well with Taurus revolvers. Something like 19 that went bang and one that didn't. The best ones have triggers almost as good as a Smith. Lots of them have stiff DA triggers, so I always assume I'm going to change out the springs.

My luck with Rossi has been mixed, but I haven't tried one of their newer offerings.

Looking forward to a range report. :)

My nicest Taurus:

Manurhin is fantastic and a MR73 is something that will go in the collection soon.

Been interested in a Taurus Model 608 and a Rossi Model RP63.
Good for you, and it won't hurt my feelings at all if you buy them. Never understood why some folks feel the need to burst the bubble of someone with a new gun purchase by bashing and belittling their choice. I can understand trying to inform and direct folks with little or no knowledge of firearms and the quality associated with various brands, but you seem to know what you are doing.

Good luck, shoot safe and enjoy.

Honestly there's nothing here to forgive.

In my youth I loved S&W revolvers but couldn't always find them, particularly the Model 60. What I really wanted was one that they didn't even make at the time: a Model 60 with a 3" barrel and with some better sights. What I did discover was the Rossi Model 88. Imported back then by Interarms. It was a stainless J frame size gun with a 3" barrel, chambered in .38 Special, along with a somewhat adjustable rear sight. I don't remember how much it cost but it was nowhere near as costly as a Model 60, and had the 3" barrel I so eagerly sought.

The gun itself was very well made with a bit of a heavy DA trigger but a fairly light pull in SA mode. It became my up-scale caliber wise Kit Gun and I carried it in an old Uncle Mike's nylon holster on many a backwoods hike.

I predict you will achieve that number at some time in the future.
I can only wish.. my gun honeymoon phase is over, only dime pieces & interesting guns from this point on. Just like I passed on the modern Remington rolling block & SA Custom Shop gun

I still might get that Rolling Block LOL

Go for it! I've got a bunch of S&W, and Colt firearms, but I also have some made in Croatia, Turkey and Brazil. Quality firearms are quality firearms no matter where they come from.

my 1st Smith is a Lock 460V, I shoot full house all the time and it’s never locked up on my.

A member suggested getting a 27-?? and send in the warranty card & call it a Registered Magnum

I just hate the lock on the Smiths.... They're ugly, horribly designed, and annoying. As for registering a Model 27.... I have a 27-2. That would be hilarious to call it a registered magnum.

There are shooting guns, and there are "having" guns. My CZ-27 and Mauser M1914, e.g.
I’m planning to shoot all my guns!

my oldest is either my Top Break S&W or my 1917 Luger long barrel 9mm! will definitely be shooting both alot

I concur, the Rossi 885 is an outstanding little wheelgun. That's one reason why I am considering the RP-63 as it's big brother.
