As I read this thread most if not all of you own a Forster Co Ax press. Most of you use it for rifle reloading and a small portion use it for pistol. This is what concerns me I only reload three pistol calibers; such as: 44 Mag, 45 ACP and 45 AR. In the years past I have owned a RCBS RC, RCBS Partner single stage presses. I have a brand new in the box Forster Co Ax press with the short handle and several other options for the press. Did I over buy? Would I be happier with something else? At this point the only other press that interests me is the Redding T-7 turret press. I am open for suggestions

No you haven't over bought, you will be happy with the Co-Ax. I load pistol and rifle with mine. My dad loads mostly pistol for his. 45 Colt, 45-70, and 30 carbine, all pistol like cartridges. My dad loads 9 MM, 357, 44 Mag, 45 Colt, 32 Colt, and 454 Casul. Time to mount the Co-Ax to your bench and put it to work. YOU HAVE MADE AN EXCELLENT CHOICE. You will have many years of fine service from your press.

I had a Co-Ax press that was dedicated to rifle loading, but sold it! Very well designed, built and they produce very good loads, but I didn't like a few of the quirks of the press. I now use a T-7 for my rifle and progressive for pistol.

If you are only gonna have one press, I would go for a turret. I don't care how easy it is to swap out dies on a Forester! I don't think they are as convenient as a turret.
