Found A New Rear Sight For My 617

It funny what you can find when you are not looking for it.

Here's an old Bowen MFG Rear Sight for my Smith & Wesson. I forgot I even had it. Fortunately while scrounging around for something else this popped up.

I've been shooting with a C-More Red Dot on my 617 for years. I decided I wanted to switch to regular iron sights for a while and installed my stock rear sight. I never did like the view of the original S&Ws.

Mounting this I could really focus better on the front sight. My groups were tighter and I could hit faster. Hopefully this will all help me during our monthly Steel Challenge Matches.

Whacha got on the front, AzShooter1? I didn't care for the Patridge, so I put on the HIVIZ fiber optic. I really like it and didn't have to sight it in after install.

Mounting this I could really focus better on the front sight

I still have the partridge black front sight. Before every match I spray it with sight black and that gives me enough of a difference that it works.

I'm trying to build up the courage to install a fiber optic or a gold bead front sight.
