Very old 22 7 shot revolver Found in a barn. Looks to be about 118 years old as it say on the top strap "Model 1900" I.J. TARGET Model..

Fitchburg Mass. USA

Good working action but like some many of these old ones the trigger return spring in broken.

I can't seem to post pictures so email me at [email protected] if you want to see it!

H&R2.jpg
Here is my old house find, a 1927 H&R 22 special.
This one still shoots but I've only shot it a few times. It's hard to shoot due to the microscopic sights on it. Ugly as sin but it is reasonably accurate.
Good luck with yours, if you get the trigger spring fixed, check the timing before you shoot it. This one has one chamber out of time with the barrel. I marked that cylinder and don't use it. It is a seven shot also.

I like the old ivers. I have a (j.h. I think)Hamilton double barrel that was in a barn that burned down. Of course it's rusted up and ruined. But nice decoration

I'm a retired farmer living in town. I have had my farm looted a couple of times. I just hope all you guys running through empty buildings have permission from the owner to be there. Some people don't take to kindly to having their possessions run away just because they were not there.

8mmman - that's a nice find! With those flat sides on that barrel, it is probably easy to brace against a fence post. Being a "target" model, I hope the rifling is still in good shape as that and those flats should make that a nice shooter.
Let us know how well it shoots when you can !!

Mine was found in my wifes Great Grannies house after she passed. We had to clean it up for sale. Sorry your house got looted but don't blame us.

I wish you lived close by. In a box of old gun stuff I acquired 6 or 7 years ago, was one of these, complete, except for the cylinder and cylinder post (or whatever you call it). Works fine. I'd give it to you where you could have a complete, working one.

Only thing I've ever found in a barn requires rinsing my boots off with a hose.

Congratulations on an amazing find!

I've found a rattler or two in the haystack...and a wasp nest or 50 up in the rafters...but never anything cool like a revolver

Stay safe!
