So, I have fallen for the marketing and ordered the new X-10 10 station progressive press from the guys at Frankford Arsenal. I snapped a few pics while ripping it out of the box that I will attach. Setting it up has been more tedious than other presses with many moving parts but nothing that I couldn't figure out so far. I need some more bolts to secure it before I start producing but I'll get them on my way home today. The design is very cool with ball bearings on just about everything that rotates (even the powder measure drum) and brass bushings on everything that slides, more like a piece of industrial equipment. I will get some more pics once everything is together. 1308559651.jpg 542475023.jpg 20230321_161834.jpg

Keep us informed of how it goes! It looks like a nice press. I have been thinking of getting one vs another Dillion XL.

Man, I really hope they have plans to add caliber conversions. Same struggle I have with my Mark 7's...only a few conversions available. I'm also really curious how their primer system is going to work.

It is definitely a solid piece, shipping was actually free from midway despite weighing 96 pounds. I managed to get it set up tonight and loaded a couple rounds of 44. The rcbs dies are almost too short. 5464014750.jpg Here's a pic where it sits next to my Hornady.

What's your bench height?
There is a huge difference in the height of the handles on both presses.

Very cool!

I don’t get Midway’s shipping policies but hey, they can decide how much the do or don’t charge. I wanted one neck bushing and it was 8$ to ship.
I’ve found Lee and RCBS dies are too short in a RL1100 head - Hornady’s and Dillon dies have longer bodies. I believe the Lyman dies for the Mark 7’s are longer as well. Thanks for getting the press and trying it out!!!

Thanks for sharing. Man, that thing looks super solid!

They obviously looked over a 1050, it’s the same in this respect. They sit on top of the bench top, the others hang over the edge, like his Hornady.

Great to see they finally started selling them, keep us posted on how it does.

I want to know how you got this thing lol now I know the advanced waiting list is being ignored.

My bench it 40" tall. The height is spot on for the x10 when standing, the only height issue is that the case feeder is too tall for me to look into or reach into and clear jams easily. Its does jam as the case feeder plate seems to be geared more for smaller cases like 9 and 40 but I only have tried 44 so far. I do think my Hornady press is mounted too low but I doubt I'll be doing anything about that anytime soon. Unfortunately I do not have experience with any of the higher end Dillon presses so I cant make any comparisons.

I bought it from midway, I had the "notify me" set up any ordered it a week ago when I got the email.
Another Issue I found is the powder measure leaks H110 all over. My Hornady measure works fine with H110. 412466915.jpg
On a different note, lighting is build into the toolhead. It's cool but the hihg polish shellplate just shines it right into my eyes. 1725497208.jpg

Nothing bothers me more then powder everywhere. Powder between the shell plate…
