the chicago land military collecting fraternity lost another friend dealer and collector , in a tragic turn of events , just five months after loosing his son Fred jr. {or little fritz } - 'big fritz ' has died ,....
Fred 'FRITZ' FRANZ fell / passed out at the pentatonica antiques show , where he was set up , selling his various WW2 collectable's , he later succumbed to incurred head trauma .
people will remember him as the 'big guy' who sold the stacks of USGI ammo cans at the gun shows and military vehicle shows, - if you ever purchased a metal USGI ammo can at any of the northern Illinois gun shows ,...,you probably bought it from fritz ,
he recently told me that he wouldn't " survive another year " after losing his son ,....
