Freedom Arms new caliber coming soon

The good thing about a small pocket carry revolver, it would be 6 rounds, not 5 because of the smaller diameter cartridge.
Couldn't a 5 round 32 cal. be even smaller?

I guess so. The current cylinder used for a .38 Special J frame is not large and I'm guessing the same cylinder could hold 6 rounds of .327 Fed Mag without increasing the cylinder diameter. Decreasing the cylinder size might cause a need to downsize the frame size and that's a large expense for only 1 revolver chambering.

Well thats what Bill Ruger did with the SP101. It was a 5 shooter 357, but they did and in fact sold 6 shooter 327 Fed Mags.

Neat guns but discontinued.

I guess we have a new wheel. The old 22 Jet worked OK and was poison on grounhogs and vermin. But it had too much stuff for eatable game unless head shot. My 53 was really very accurate with full throttle loads, and just following all the guidelines for reloading gave very little trouble. The 22 rf adapters were as useful as mammaries on an eggplant. It was a fun thing then but I wouldn't buy another nor will I get one of the new wheels.
A 5 shot mini concealable in 327 would be a fairly potent hide away/CC

I guess that's the sorry truth of that :(

We do have a new wheel. The .22Jet didn't work well because it was poorly designed. The very long tapered shoulder coupled with the much larger case resulted in serious setback. Not an issue with a smaller, longer case, little to no taper and an "improved" shoulder.

I've always thought if they would make the 327 Mag in a K frame, 6" barrel and adjustable sights I'd get one.

You and I are on similar pages. I asked Lipsey's in an email if they would consider getting Ruger to do a run of GP-100s in 327 magnum with a 6" barrel. Here is their response.

There is a chance. Now that everyone sees that the 327 is a viable round in the right gun it is easier to get that one done. The holdup is production time right now. We have some other revolver projects in the queue so it might take a little while. We have discussed other 327 platforms recently with Ruger and they are open to ideas. Stay tuned!
