People that care in Georgia are watching this. We have some real strict and somewhat insane and vague restrictions on where we can carry. If this passes I think it would be one of the less restricted around. I am going this week to get my permit.

Check out Georgia Carry for HB 915 info

HB 915 attempts to resolve problems with GA firearms laws such as the vague Public Gathering prohibition for GFL holders as well as the necessity for GFL holders to leave one's gun in the vehicle before entering any restaurant that serves alcohol.

A Georgia based group, Georgia Carry which represents Georgia firearms owners, has been lobbying the legislature hard on these issues and has a lot of info including how and whom to lobby etc. See www.georgiacarry.org for more information.

BTW--I am a member myself.

I've already written my reps on this one, as well as the NRA. While the NRA supported HB 89 (a modified version has already passed the House) they decided not to lend support to HB 915. Write your reps and, when the time comes, Governor Purdue and ask for support.
