My old .22 could benifit from a new front bead sight no matter what. It's a bead and short post that fits into the front sight in a tiny little hole. That's the factory sight but I was wondering if there are little fiber optic inserts that would work. I've seen something similar for more modern shotguns but how about and old rifle? A little red/green bead would be an improvement.

What kind of rifle do you have?

If it's a common model, there may be a part made especially for your rifle. If not, you may need some simple gunsmithing.

It's an old Ranger .22 made by sears, marlin, someone else at one point but it escapes me. Awsome long barrel and a nice bolt. I just refinished the original stock and polyUed it really nicely. All thats left is to mount a scope I've got but I like shooting the open sights. The color bead would be nice. IT's an oldun. 40/50 years maybe. Still shoots really well.
