OK let me start off by saying I have been shooting the XD platform for 4 years now. I owned & loved my XD9 that I carried for 3 years & shot tens of thousands of rounds (winchester white box)through it w/out any problems whatsoever. I sold it & bought an XD45 last year about this time. I really started shooting it in November of this last year. Almost every range trip I had one or 2 failures to feed per 100 rounds. I started out shooting Blazer Brass then switched to wwb after the problem started. I also clean my gun religiously after every trip to the range. Well I finally got fed up w/it & called Springfield they asked me to send it in. I mailed it the next day w/my 5 13 round mags. Well after almost a month (I called every week to check on it) I got a phone call this last Monday, it seems that they have been having problems w/ the 13 rounds magazines feeding. So they sent me my 5 original mags back along w/5 brand new 10 round mags w/a promise to send me 5 new 13 round mags if & when they resolve the issue. I received the gun & mags today & am planning a range trip tomorrow. I will post a report in this thread when I return. I really like the XD45 it shoots awesome, it is accurate, I have been an XD fan since they were released. I really hope this resolves the issue.

Can't argue that...You'll have 10 magazines for your XD by the time your done.

That's the great thing about Springfield, they'll make sending your gun back to them worth your while one way or another.

I have to say through the whole ordeal I was impressed by Springfield's Customer Service reps. All were very courteous & helpful. I spoke w/one women that sounded like my Grandma she was no nice & sweet.
I love my XD 45 tactical, I have not had any problems at all, with the 13 rounders even with blazers, wwb or the one boox of wolf a feed it.

I have heard of a lot of people w/the same experience maybe I got a lemon not sure, my brother-in-law ran into the same problem w/his. He sold his instead of sending it in to Springfield.

I have an XD45, one of the first ones out I've been told. It had issues from day one, couple trips back and it still can't get through a magazine with 2-3 feed failures. Doesn't matter what type of ammo anymore. At first it worked fine with FMJ, then just got worse. It's on a 3rd set of new springs, polished up and everything else with no luck. I was debating on another trip back to springfield but first I'll give the 10rnd mags a try. That might be the ticket since I've gone through 15 13rnd mags with no luck.

Not XD-45 related, but I did have a problem with chrome flaking off the cocking indicator and gumming up stuff. A picture of the problem and call to SA, I had a new one in 3 days. Way to go SA.

I also have one of the original guns out and have never had any problems with feeding, even with the 13 rounders. I hope yours gets fixed with the 10 round mags.

I had a bunch of failures to eject/feed the first time I shot mine until I got online and found out they hate semi-wadcutters.
I only had time to run a couple mags of fmj through it and had no failures on the last range trip, hopefully I can run a bunch more soon and make sure it's reliable.

I've fed my XD45 all kinds of ammo, maybe 2,000 rounds now(including hot and weak handloads). Never had a single failure of any kind.

Well the 10 rounders had no problems. None were loaded w/more than 8 rounds however & it wasn't a very "controlled test." I was shooting in a bowling pin shoot. 8 rounds in the mag 5 pins on the table. Knock them off as fast as you can. Hopefully in the next week I will get to the range soon to do a full test. So far I am happy though. The 10 rounders fed just fine. I'll keep ya'll posted though.
