Greetings, I'm relatively new to the AR platform (AK GUY) and I noticed some feeding issues with my Diamondback DB-15 16" chrome moly. Recently I was having feeding issues with Tula ammo (no surprise there right) but had previously ran it with no issue. The past 2 times I went to the range I took the standard G.I. aluminum green tilt able follower mags. These mags would run brass fine but would choke on Tula steel.
Fast forward to the other night. I ordered some ammo and noticed the primers were different from the other batch I shot a couple weeks ago. While inspecting the cases, I noticed there were dents in the necks of almost all the brass I used with the G.I. mags. Strange????
So pulled out a fresh mags loaded with some XM193 brass and hand cycled with that same G.I. mag and guess what, they all came out with dents in the neck of the brass. So I pulled out a Pmag and hand cycled them twice and there were no scratches or dents at all. Anyone ever seen this?
Thanks for you input!
