I shot the Oregon Open USPSA match a week ago. Fun match. I shoot in Single Stack and there were only 5 of us. There were a couple more originally but a couple dropped out. I got beat soundly by a couple of younger better shooters as expected. Of the 3 of us older shooters I finished ahead of them by a few percent. They did give out a metal plaque for 1st B SS.

Now I wasn't bragging or anything, nothing to brag about. But when my wife saw the award she zinged me by saying, "isn't it about time you moved up to "A" instead of winning B"? She was laughing. Myself and the shooter I edged out take turns beating each other. On to A class! I've got a ways to go and I'll be 70 next year.

On top of that, isn't it time you moved into a real division as well?

I shoot some Limited for a change of pace from SS. I'm probably going to get a CZ75B milled for an optic so I can try CO out. I've only fired a few rounds using an optic before. But still nothing feels better then shooting my 1911. I do like my CZs though. We'll see what happens.
