I would sell it and put the money into pretty much (throw a dart) any other military arm of the WWII or earlier period. I think of anything out there, US, Finnish, Swiss and Swedish arms have the most upside. Some of the rare mauser contracts are still a bit under the radar also, and have a lot of upside but you need to know what you're buying. Anything vintage Remington is also hot but not full on stupid, and likely to appreciate more than your Carcano.
If you want a light recoiling 6.5 you can shoot and enjoy while it gains value in your safe, find a Japanese T38 with the mum intact.
