Garand-Springfield-Military Rifle Match and Clinic June 9 and 10

The Mariposa Motherload Pistol Club in co-operation with CMP is going to have a John. C. Garand match and Clinic on June 9 and 10 at the Mariposa Fish and Game Rifle Range. Lloyd Stahl , a CMP Master Instructor, will be the match director. If you have an "as-issued" Garand, 1903 Springfield or other manually operated foreign military rifle, Swiss K31 etc, we invite you to come on out and have a good time with us. If you have no idea how your weapon functions Lloyd will be teaching a Garand clinic on Saturday the 9th.
If you are shooting a Garand or other 30-06 your ammunition and one bandoleer will be included in your entry fee of $35.00.
This match will be run according to the CMP rules. A full set of rules is available on the CMP website. www.odcmp.org.
All firing will take place at 100 Yards on the SR-1 Target.
We will have a notary on site for the Eligability and Liability waiver.

Sounds like fun. I love Garand matches. Spending a day around a bunch of other Garand nuts is just good for the soul. If you can talk the directors into moving the match from the PRK to the PFS (Pennsylvania Free State), I'll try to make it.
