Over 30 years ago I was blessed to have a Scout Master that knew what boys liked to do, shoot. Some days we'd have meetings at his place and he'd get out a couple of 1903A3's and we'd load 0 Buckshot over some Bullseye and plink in his backyard.
Fast Forward to today, I decided to see if it shot as well as I remembered.
Recipe:
-0 buckshot, seated with thumb pressure
-2.3 gr of Bullseye (equals ~ a 22lr case full. In the picture link is the tool he made us)
-Large Rifle Primer
-Mixed Cases
My rifle (Remington 700 BDL) sights are set for 100 meters and Jacketed bullets traveling ~2600 fps and I didn't mess with them. Here's a picture of a group I shot standing 25 yards away. Had I held the bead over the bull dot it would have printed point of aim.

Just as fun as it used to be. No recoil, a little quieter than a hi velocity 22 lr, but louder than subsonics. The buckshot penetrated just over and inch into the Douglas Fir 4x.
Prints one enlarged hole at 10 yards.
