i will be moving to Tallahasse FL in the near future and was wondering what the gun show laws were in Georgia and Alabama. in Florida you have to have a CCW to be able to buy at the shows here, is there a similar requirment in AL and GA?
and are people from out of state allowed to purchase at their gun show(specifically people from FL)

any info would be appreciated

First, I don't think that statement is accurate. Are you sure about that?

In Georgia, you certainly don't have to have ccw permit to buy at a gunshow. The sale is conducted exactly as if it was at a gunstore. There are no special rules or laws for gun shows. If you buy from a dealer, he will either do a NICS check, unless you have a firearms license, in which case you are exempted from the NICS check.

If you are a resident of Florida you can buy long guns in Georgia and take possession immediately. If you buy a handgun, it will have to be shipped to an FFL in your state and then signed over to you there.

Lone Gunman nailed the Georgia laws.
Frankly, I would not worry about it.
I havent seen a decent gunshow, in the last 6 years.
The last one I went to a few weeks ago, was one at the Dalton Convention Center
. High prices and people not willing to haggle. This really did not matter. The inventory they had on the tables was for the most part worn out, high priced junk.
Also there were dealers... The place was eat up by dealers. I will not do business with a dealer at a gunshow. With them, jacked up prices are the name of the game.
When I laft the gunshow I drove over to Grants and purchased a brand spankin new Blackhawk .45LC for $70 less than I saw it a the gunshow.
IMHO-Gunshows are a pure waste of time and energy.

You will find plenty of gunshows in Georgia. Finding a decent one, is another story.

here in bama if your from out of state you cant buy a handgun, not saying it cant be done alot of dealers want to see id, some dont ask, long guns have differnt laws, *csa*
