New Organization

Several individuals in Georgia were working tirelessly on issues of Georgia gun rights, as individuals, for some time and making little headway. Accordingly, they began working together, hoping to make more progress. They discovered that working together works better than working separately.

We wish to announce the formation of Georgiacarry.org ("GCO"). Founded in the summer of 2006, GCO is an all volunteer, nonpartisan, grassroots organization that will work toward making Georgia's constitutional right to keep and bear arms a reality for Georgia's citizens.

The web site will be up this weekend at www.georgiacarry.org

GCO invites all persons who support the right to keep and bear arms to join us in our efforts.

Malum

Hey. I visited the new site along with georgiapacking the other day. I looks good. Let me know if there's any way an out-of-stater can help. I do have reason to go to GA periodically, and would like to see changes, especially to the off-limits places list.

Thanks. There may be an issue we need help with in Tn . . . Is there a gun org up there?

Also, the briefs from two court cases are now posted on the new site.

(1) The Privacy Act case http://georgiacarry.org/cms/?cat=4
14 court documents

(2) And the 60 day issue (probate courts refusing to issue within 60 days as the statute says) briefs and Order are here.
http://georgiacarry.org/cms/?p=7
6 documents

The links to the briefs and other court documents are contained in the text near the bottom of each. It is useful reading to see how your government views this issue.

The Privay Act case is currently live, and the 60 day case is now on appeal.
