Anybody out there have one? Do you like it or is it miserable to use? Is it nitrogen sealed? Would you prefer it over a working Weaver 330/M73B-1/M73B2?

I'm not looking to buy one, but I want to get opinions on it as an optics system.

best effort.jpg 4v,
I've always thought of the ZF41 scope to be an optical sighting device rather than a scope.
It is not sealed (mine isn't anyway) and is rather complicated to actually sight in.

The field of view is not that great, but I've never messed with the war 2 Weavers either.
The first Steyr AUG I handled reminded me of the ZF41 only with much clearer optics.

It only took me a few years to learn (and use) what the emojis and things were on the old pages.
One day into the new pages and I'm already posting!

What a coincidence! I was just reading about these scopes today.

Apparantly they make repros of them in the $350 range. I've no idea the quality though.

Apparantly they were the first attempts at an ACOG style combat optic, they were supposed to be standard issue on most or all infantry rifles but for some reason the Germans didn't go through with the plan.

JT-AR-MG42 - what museum is that or is that your collection? :D
