got this email just now, be safe

This, and several variants of the same email (including the uniforms being purchased on eBay) are known fake.

There are places (Snopes, etc.) where you can go to check this stuff out before posting it.

And besides, if it was true then it would probably just be a bunch of men buying the outfits to role play for their wives aroused by the men in brown.

well I work for the department of defense so I assumed it wasn't fake. sorry.

Reading a thing doesn't automatically make it so; repeating it doesn't necessarily make it any truer.

Rbernie's sig wins. It's pretty reasonable to assume that if the email were genuine, it would simply contain a link to the alert on the DHS website. Last I checked, the government doesn't spread important notices by chain e-mail. :p

The Brownshirts are coming! The Brownshirts are coming! The Brownshirts are coming!

I'm more afraid of getting struck by lightning than by terrorists. The fearmongering is a herding tool to drum up support for "protection" by our rulers. I'm more concerned with trying to protect myself from the protectors.

Please don't post this sort of nonsense unless it's been checked against Snopes or one of the other fact-checking web sites. This one's so old it's gone gray, and it's fake besides.
