I sometimes

reload cartridges on a Rock Crusher if I only want 50 handgun or a box of rifle ammo. No use setting up a rotary rig for these small amounts. I actually enjoy it.

I still have my rockchucker and a couple more I found over the years... I used lee 1000's for years in college- mostly set up for different cartridges... I have dillon 550-650-and a 1050 and will not likely get rid of the lees... they work for me.

Now have three presses on my bench two Dillon Square Deals & Lee Classic turret that turns out hundreds of 223/5.56 a week. And can change calibers in minutes.
Keep the Lee and enjoy your new Dillon.:)

Another vote for "totally valid". In fact I'd suggest that if you did commit to the Dillon by selling the turret you'd soon be looking to buy another one.

I would not want to give up my single stage or the older Lyman turret either. My Dillon 550b is my main press for the widely used calibers I shoot. But I load my less used calibers and rifle rounds on the single or turret because the numbers I shoot of those don't justify buying a shell plate kit and the time taken to do changeovers.
