One of my guitar amp 'customers' has fallen on some hard times and isn't going to be able to pay me for some work I've done for him. I don't really care about the money, because he's a very good friend but he is insisting on paying me somehow. He offered me a tristar hunter (older model, not the EX) 12 gauge with 28" barrels. I know they don't have the greatest reputation, but it's effectively a free gun.
It's got a little bit of surface rust in a few spots but that will come off w/ a few minutes in me electrolytic rust remover. Lock-up seems really tight and it feels really good. I know that they have had some issues with firing pins breaking. This one has only had about 120 rounds through it, so I think it should be ok. Anything else I should be aware of?
Edit: here's a link to an identical gun.
