I am currently looking into purchasing an 12 gauge shotgun to use for sporting clays, some dove hunting ect... It will also be used as a HD gun if i ever decide to purchase a shorter barrel for it.

Looking at the Stoeger 2000 or the Mossberg 930, in black synthetic with a 28" barrel. I like the idea that the Stoeger has the inertia drive system and will be easier to clean than a standard gas operated gun.

Does anyone have both and have an opinion over one or the other? I spent a few days searching and found it seems to be a wash but i just wanted to make sure. I am leaning towards the Stoeger at this point.

The 2000 has more felt recoil because of it's Benelli's Inertia Driven system. The Mossberg 930 can be had in a combo model that comes with 28" & 18.5" barrels.
