Really liked the scope but got tired of it being bumped off zero with the exposed elevation turret.

Got looking into lightweight simple 1” tubed scopes and decided on this little 3-10X42 Swarovski. Paid for it entirely with Cabelas points.

View is outstanding as is the eye relief and field of view. Think I have a winner here for my style of western public land meat hunting!

Leupold is rarely a bad choice, but I'm sure the Swarovski is an upgrade. Looks good.

I picked up one of the VX-2 CDS scopes in 3-9X40 used several years ago. It is a decent scope, but like you I was concerned about how easily the dial could be moved while hunting. I ended up putting it on a 22 that I used to shoot out past 200 yards at the range. I don't recall it ever getting moved, but the potential was certainly there. Especially if carried in the field.

Leupold is making some of the VX3i's in 3.5-10X40 with CDS and a zero stop. I think that is a better option. But on a hunting rifle I prefer multiple aiming points like the Swarovski. I have a similar reticle on a some of the Cabelas branded Meopta scopes that I have.
