I got one of the first Glock 17 MOS pistols that came in to my LGS. I had a Trijicon RMR (RM06) red dot sight waiting for the Glock to come in. The 17 and 19 with MOS were just released, but several other Glock MOS models came out last year.

The beauty of this gun is the supplied 4 adaptor plates that fit in the milled cutout on the slide of this gun to allow mounting of sights from various sight makers like Leupold and Trijicon.

Glock supplied the plates along with a set of screws for aftermarket sight mounting. Trijicon also supplied two screws with my RMR for mounting, but these screws are not Glock specific.

Long story short, the Glock screws were too short to mount the red dot, and the Trijicon screws are too long. After I searched the internet, Trijicon makes a specific kit to mount the RMR on a Glock MOS pistol. It worked perfectly but I wished I had known it upfront to avoid time waiting on another part to arrive.

Just wanted to give y'all a heads up if you were planning to set a gun up in this configuration.

Good info, thanks. You're going to love the RMR setup. You can get really fast after you unlearn everything you've learned about shooting a pistol with iron sights.

I like the "unlearn" part...LOL!

I am considering a taller front/rear sight to replace my OEM Glock sights. This front/rear is by Dawson Precision with tritium dot to co-witness. The way it sights now, the OEM sights aren't really useable or visible. I'm considering the suppressor height replacement sights but not completely sure yet if it would be a distractor or enhancer.

I have an FNS-9 with a Trijicon and suppressor sights. They help me to find the dot. It is my carry gun so the iron sights are a necessary back-up to the Trijicon. If it was a range gun only then I would leave the iron sights off.

You may feel differently but the only way I was able to get suitably quick with the RMR was to completely ignore the sights. And I have suppressor height sights on both RMR pistols.
