I just bought the new Glock 21sf today and was wondering if or when I buy parts for it, like a new guide rod and spring, if I just buy for the Glock 21, meaning is the top end the same size as the 21?

Hey! Before you order any internal parts for the receiver....My older brother just attended the Glock armourer's course for his agency about 3 wks ago. He learned that all glocks share 70% parts commonality EXCEPT the 21SF. It has 30% commonality of parts. Which parts? beats me. I just wanted you to be armed w/ this info before placing an order....there should be someone here or at a Glock site that can steer you in the right direction. I hope this helps

...but of course only if you have the ambi-mag release version or the Picatinny rail version...but yes...they may be different as well...

Call B.S. on it if you please. I talked w/ my brother just to make sure and, since he's been to the armourer's course, he's more than quite sure of the parts commonality. Oh by the way, one thing he mentioned was that the new mags will work in the older 21 but the new 21SF will not operate w/ the old 21 mags due to the new ambi release system.

It was (more or less) the Glock submission for the Joint Combat Pistol competition, so it's "Short Frame" but wink-wink-nudge-nudge "Special Forces" kind of like the Taurus OSS.

I just placed an order for fiber optic sights at 5:00am this morning, today I get home and I get an email saying that my order was shipped. Now I have to say that was pretty quick service.
