Glock fiber optic front sight only

]What are the thoughts on putting a fiber optic sight on the front of your glock and leaving the u shaped back glock? Good mod or not? If so what front sight do you recommend? I was thinking of going with a hiviz green with white outline. I have a glock 34 BTW. Also is a front sight tool necessary?

I used a Dawson Precision fiber optic front and painted the white outline black. I have a very low opinion of anything on the rear sight that could distract your focus from the front.

Measure what is on your gun and order one to match. If you want to adjust th sight picture, they have info at the website about how to calculate the changes you desire so you can order the correct replacement.

Trijicon makes excellent tritiated front with bright colored liner (mine is orange, but I think they make yellow and zombie green too) plus U notch rear with tritium dots. If you buy at gun store most will replace factory with new sights free plus you can ask for old sights back. No problemo, yes?

You'll find that many people run their 34 with a FO front sight and all black rear sight. It seems to work pretty well.

I use a "DP Charger Fixed Rear Sight for All Glock, Black, .125" Notch, Serrated" with a ".205 Tall x .105 Wide Optic Front Sight".

It's a lot better setup than the stock front, for sure. I have used an Ameriglo fiber rod front sight with the stock Glock rear unit and it works great.

Thanks guys. Do you know of any fiber optic sights that are .165" and do not hang over the glock 34 slide cuttoff? The Dawson seems to fit these requirements, anyone know of any others

Another option is to simply reverse the rear sight. Cleaner sight picture.

It may depend on when your slide was made. My 15 year old Model 34 has the cut out closer to the front sight than those made later.

It is a gen 4
