What do you predict the Glock Model 40 will be ? Or maybe what would YOU like the Glock Model 40 to be ?

I am interested in what you think or would like it to be.

I predict it to be some kind of .40 caliber pistol since it is the model "40".

I would like to see a single stack 45acp with a flat back strap and a slim/skinny profile (like the G36). RTF2 or RTF3 texture and OD Green frame option. Mag capacity around 10 rounds. Standard cut rifling. Either a 4.6" or 5" barrel.

Glock model 40

I'd like to see a single column 8 round .45CP with a 4" barrel- frame size comparable to a G19. Basically a G38 in 45 ACP not 45 GAP.

Maybe it will be a .22. Then you could have a Glock 40 in .22 caliber, and a Glock 22 in .40 caliber.

I would like to see such a gun myself. I dislike the 30's fat grip and overall thickness, and the 36 could use another couple of rounds and dispense with the magazine/grip frame design oddity. That, or a short, slim, single-stack 9mm about the size of a Kahr PM9.

Where did you guys find info about this "Glock 40?" Haven't heard of this yet but I find it pretty interesting to hear that Glock is putting out a new model.

Enachos,

As far as I know they arent putting a Glock model 40 out yet. This is just something that me and my shooting buddies talk about a lot. I figured I would extend the conversation and ask you Gentlemen what you thought or would like to see. It is a pretty fun topic around our campfire, as a lot of interesting ideas get spilled.

A G21SF in single stack would be the perfect handgun, but Gaston won't do it because I want one :).

Just my .02,
LeonCarr

It will be the first full polymer frame & cylinder .32 short revolver.

In all seriousness, I always wondered why they haven't come out with some sort of carbine yet.

50AE lol just kidding

actualy if it wasnt for the import score system a .22LR glock would be nice especialy with the numbers switching with the .40S&W model 22 lol

They have one. It's been in R&D for years, some even say decades!
It's mostly made of vaporware and unobtainium. It can go through metal detectors!

It will be a micro Glock in .380 to compete with the LCP. The LCP made Ruger the number one selling handgun last year, you better believe Glock took notice to that.

Made to shoot the .50 BMG, burst fire only, 3 round clip, waiver required any time it is picked up by anyone. The 40 refers to the average number of fractures by the people that held onto the weapon during firing.

edit - forgot to mention, it will some-how be a subcompact.
