Glock trigger hurts me finger! What can I do?

+1 for switch to the smooth G17 trigger. I have had a blister from the serrated target trigger after long range sessions with my G19. Installing the smooth trigger (easy to do, and I say this as someone with very little mechanical aptitude) solved the problem.

Glock has to put the serrated "target" trigger on their smaller guns to get them enough import points. No legal problem with taking it off though.

Rather than burning thru 200 rounds at a time. I would suggest you shoot more often but less ammo. 50-100 rounds per session is sufficient if you do this 2-3 times per week.

If you are just shooting just to consume ammo, you aren't getting anything more out of it than hand fatigue.

Also go with a glove or Band-aid.

How about you just sell the gLoCk. It isn't like there aren't over 100, better, alternatives anyway.

Many tools of old and today will/would do serious and permanent nerve damage with just general use.

What do you mean by "hurt"?

Well I just got the thing a couple weeks ago so the first time out I was mainly trying to get the "200 break-in rounds" through it (I know I know, Glocks are not supposed to need break in but I like to shoot) and get accustomed to the gun. This last time, again, I like to shoot. I don't like to spend money on a shooting lane and then only stay for 10 minutes. The pain in my finger tip is not as bad as some of you guys are making it out to be...I did say it was more of an annoyance, and it was gone the following day. I really would just like to smooth out the trigger a bit, and/or get the trigger from the 17 as some have suggested.
Also, I'm definitely not shooting just to consume ammo...why would I do that? I definitely don't have limitless ammo or money.

I have arthritis in the first and second knuckle in my trigger finger so a nice lighter trigger pull would be nice but I worry about a negligent discharge with a 2.5-3.5# trigger pull.

Why not just try another brand of gun? I shoot Glocks reasonably well, but I do not enjoy the feel of the trigger. Why subject yourself? Life is too short to waste on guns you don't enjoy shooting, unless you're in some position where this is your issue weapon and you're just stuck with it.

If there was a car whose seats made my back hurt, I wouldn't buy that car. If there was a brand of coffee or beer that always gave me headaches, I wouldn't drink it. And if there's a brand of gun that physically hurts me (and not because of the caliber), I wouldn't shoot it.

9mm. I have a Glock 17L that i consider a replacement for my S&W 41 a 22 Caliber. Sore finger, i would try a lighter trigger. Sounds like finger getting tired from all the work. I agree that it is a chore to shoot 200 rounds at one range trip. I often do, but in different calibers, six different handguns. With a few breaks.
