As long as the trigger can not be pulled without depressing the trigger safety, you're ok.

Do you use a Saf-T-Blok? If so, you should be aware that there are at least two models. Using the wrong one can fatigue the plastic spring in the trigger safety eventually causing it to become useless.

the trigger saftey still works as in you still need to pull it in more in to engage in shooting. but i kinda liked the fact that i really need to pull the saftey longer to engage trigger but oh well it still works fine

no i dont use a saf-t-block

i'll look into replacing it if it gets worse or stops working but till then i should be good right

Consider yourself lucky. I've had three Glocks that were like what you show in your first picture. The safety had a "hitch" in them when depressed, where the back of the safety would hit the frame and them click off the edge of the opening. A little lateral movement on the trigger and it almost felt like it was locked.

I just replaced the triggers with smooth triggers, so I never saw what would have happened after using for a while. I suppose I could have taken the safety out and gently rounded the edge off of the safety back there.

ALL stock parts?

I bought 5 GLOCKs, new. None of them had the trigger safety like in the first pic (left). They all look like the one on the right.

John,

Yes - all three were stock (I bought them new). They were like this out of the box. Having owned a good number of Glocks over the years, these were the only ones that were like that, but still - three?. All three of them were manufactured around 2002-2003.

All I can say is that is very strange. I've not heard that complaint before.

The only thing I can figure is if a person had very small fingers and positioned the trigger finger very high on the trigger they might not be fully disengaging the trigger safety.

I'm guessing Glock sent you new parts?

John,

I didn't ask Glock about it, since I was replacing the triggers with smooth Glock triggers, anyway.

I'll try to post a picture of the triggers tomorrow. I believe I still have at least two of them. They are just like the first picture in Salvador's post.

K.
