IMO W231/HP-38 will work great in the .38 Special, .45 Auto and 9mm but will also do a fine job in the .44 Magnum. You won't get full powder loads from W231 but not too far off especially when using a lead bullet.

BTW, don't sweat H4227 being discontinued because IMR 4227 is very close in performance and also does a good job. (although I did like H4227 better too)

Unique if you want just one powder. If you want two then go for Ramshot Enforcer for the .44 and Zip for the rest.

I forgot I had 2# of Bullseye. Guess maybe I'll give that a try first.

Universal is my go-to powder. Unique is also great but doesn't meter quite as well in my experience.

I keep tight group on hand for my general handgun powder needs, but I don't play with Magnums very often.
