What's a good price on a used Marlin 1894 in .44 Magnum? Let's say overall pretty good condition, no rust, wood looks good, bore in excellent shape.

I haven't seen one around here in the DFW area in a while, but I haven't been looking, either.

There's one for sale in my local paper. It's been there for a few weeks. I haven't seen it. He's asking $350. If I was interested in a 44 mag levergun I would have bought it. If it was 357 I would have bought it. PM me and I'll give you the info. I'm not the seller.

Around here they go for 300-350 bucks in real nice shape. And in my opinion that's all they're worth.... it's not like they're rare...

30-30s go for a good bit less...200-300 bucks

I'd also say $300-$350 for a used "S" model in excellent condition. Add $100-$150 for the Cowboy version.
