Hey guys, I have been a good boy this year, so among one other planned gun purchase, I am looking at buying myself a new bolt action rifle, and have decided on .223 Rem. I have a Mini-14, but we all now what tack drivers they are, so it's bolt time. I have a Remington 700 ADL in .270 that has been a great deer rifle, but I want a good gun to carry around in the truck with me that is somewhat lightweight (flexible on this), accurate, and hopefully under $500. I am planning on shooting some coyotes with this as well, so as far as hunting goes, that will be all the hunting it does along with some varminting
Here is kind of what I have it narrowed down to, and I would appreciate all opinions on these, fellas.
Ruger M77 - All weather or Ultralight.
Remington 700 - Several models
Savage, but I recently realized I HATE their synthetic stock.
If you want to take some time to get away from that annoying relative this holiday weekend, answer away! Thanks.
