Checked in at Walmart last week for some 30-30 and noticed 3 boxes of Rem 22lr at the back of the top shelf -- which I had not expected. Another buyer was also there and got the attention of the clerk, asking for the 22lr. My heart sank. But as the clerk pulled down the 3 boxes, the other customer turned to me and asked if I wanted one.

A thoughtful act, and I got to take my son to the range.

That was a really nice deed! And you put it to good use, taking your son shooting.

Yeah, I was at Walmart the other day and they actually had 3 boxes of 9mm. They also have a three box limit. I bought two and left one for the next guy. I can still hear my Mom telling us never to take the last piece of anything... "Always leave one for Mrs. Manners!"
You gotta love Moms. ;):)

Random act of kindness. Awesome. I try to do that when I'm buying the last three, myself.

Nice to hear that people are willing to share.

I stop to look at the ammo case every time I'm in Wal-Mart just to see what the current stock level is. Yesterday, it was probably about 7:00am I was standing there and an older guy, probably 60-70, walked up and asked me if they put any out yet. He didn't even wait for an answer, took one look at the case and walked off. I leave the aisle and he's going through the boxes they have sitting on the stock cart, then leans over the sporting goods counter and starts going through those boxes, lol. Then goes up to an employee and demands that they get a sporting goods associate over there.

I read about these people on forums, but this is the first one I've actually seen. So, it's good to hear not everyone is like that.

Tinpig, I hear you. Grandmas, too. When I picked up my Sig Mosquito recently there were two extra mags on the shelf. I wanted both but with grandma's voice echoing in my head, I left one.

I'm sorry... but after reading all of the other ammo threads... Im convinced by the logic of numerous THR threads that he must be a Socialist.:rolleyes: (doubley sarcastic)

Heck I would have bought all of them and gotten a table at the next gun show and sold them for $200 a box.

Just kidding. Nice to hear about people willing to share stuff. There's hope yet.
