Later this week, I am going to be picking up a used "like new" Kahr TP45.
I want to chop the last little bit off the grip to give it a P45 length grip frame (a "TP45 covert" if you will).
I think it would just about the ideal CCW .45.

It seems pretty obvious to me how to do it. Measure twice, cut once. Cut long and then file/sand down to size and shape etc...
But is there a step-by-step guide somewhere from someone who has done this before with a polymer frame? I know it's a pretty common job, where people cut a Glock 17 to Glock 19 frame size, etc...
Like I said, i can figure it out, but if there are directions/picture tutorial from someone who has done it before, it may save a little bit of reinventing the wheel.

Guess not.

Ok, then I'll take good pics and do a write up for the sake of more people who could want to do a similar project in the future.

Issue #10 of Recoil Magazine had a DIY article on reshaping the grip of a Glock. They didn't cut so much as fill the void between the rear of the grip and the magwell so they could sand the back thinner. I suppose the methodology would be similar.

Good luck with your project.
